Welcome to the Success Architect, where we don't just build homes, we build legacies. I'm your host, Jake Lewendal, custom home builder and coach. Each week, I sit down with builders and entrepreneurs who are ready to 10x their business, their health, and their mindset. This is where blueprints become breakthroughs. Let's get to work. What's up guys, I'm Jake Lewendal and this is episode one of the Success Architect podcast. Episode one is laying the foundation. Yes, we are mostly builders here, but if you're an entrepreneur or someone just wanting to elevate your life, welcome. We are going to lay the foundation with this episode. Why exactly did we start the Success Architect and what does it mean to build a legacy? This is what we're going to talk about today. Real success isn't built on hype or luck. It's built on discipline, clarity, and consistency. This is a show about building something solid, your business, your body, and your mindset, all meant to be solid in life. If you want viral tricks, promise you, you're not going to find it here. If you want a blueprint that you can execute, you are in the right place. Are you ready to lay the foundation? Let's go. All right, guys, so I started the Success Architect because we need a real conversation about growth in the building industry. It's an industry where everyone tries to keep everything so private and not share what they've learned in the process to help everyone else. And that's what I want to do. I've watched too many talented builders and founders chase profits while they're bleeding energy, health, their marriage, their meaning, and their purpose. And everyone just gets busier and they don't get better. And this is what we're going to stop. This show exists to put the missing piece back in the frame to help everyone grow and have the life that they want. Yes, I promise we will talk numbers. We will talk pipeline, margins, systems, processes. But we're also going to address the operator. This is kind of the elephant in the room. Everyone in building just thinks you work harder and you're going to make more money or you're going to get more done. But they don't realize that the real change comes when you start focusing on the things outside of the business. You start focusing on you. And this is what I learned because I used to be the guy who was putting in 12 hours a day and trying to just work harder to make more money. And I promise it doesn't work. I finally found out that I needed to focus on the things outside the business and focus on me, my body, my mind, and my relationships. Interestingly enough, once I started doing this, my business changed immensely. But I used to say that I didn't know why these things started to magically make the change in my business because that's how it happened. I started to focus on my wife. I started to focus on my fitness. I started to meditate and focus on my spirituality. And all of a sudden my business started going up and I had no idea why. And I kept telling people, yeah, it just happens. Do this. And I promise it'll change you. And it does. But why did that happen? I've distilled it down to two really simple things. It was me becoming a better communicator and me becoming a better leader. Because everything that we do in business is based on the people that we surround ourselves with, the team, the circle that we have. And when you can communicate with these people better, your relationships are better. And when you can lead them better, then we get to increase and grow together. What I'm going to give to you guys is the blueprint of how I run my business, how I communicate, how I show up with my family, how I show up in my relationships, how I show up with my health. Every little bit, I'm going to unveil the curtain and let you guys in on how I have grown my life and how I'm proud of the life that I have grown into. Yes, we will talk about administration, operations, marketing, sales, but the real stuff is the relationships, the culture, the leadership. This is where the real change happens and where your business begins to grow and it feels like fucking magic. This podcast is not just about what you're building and how to make it huge. It's about who you are and who you're becoming because aside from the systems and processes, Who you are and who you want to become is what will dictate where your business goes. If you grow personally, your business will grow. If you stay stagnant, I promise you no matter how many systems and processes you put in, your business will stay stagnant. So for those of you who want to be here, if you are open to transforming as a human in health, relationships, leadership, how to communicate, how to make more money, this is the place for you to be. If you're just looking for a spreadsheet with a checklist, some free template that you think will give you the answers, And if you're not willing to look inward at yourself, at who you are, at the things that you want in life, and how you will have to transform in order to get what you want, then this is not the place for you. And I'd stop listening right this second. My biggest hope for this podcast is to help every single builder, entrepreneur, and listener who comes into my world. And I want to help them understand that wanting something is not enough. In order to get what you want, the universe requires you to become the person who can receive it. Listen to that again. In order for you to get what you want, the universe requires you to become the person who can receive it. And that person will be created right here, right now, starting with listening to this podcast. Bottom line, Here we are about building momentum on purpose, repeatable systems, sustainable success, and a life that you're proud to lead, not just a company you're trying to control. So you're probably wondering who I am and why you should listen to me. My name is Jake Lewendal, husband to my smoking hot wife, Makenzie Lewendal, father to my kids, Brooklyn and Beckham, and I'm a home builder. I started in the home building industry when I was 12 years old, sweeping floors for my dad. My dad was in construction. My mom was in real estate. So I knew nothing else from a young age. When I was about 24 years old, I started my first construction company. It was called Avant Building Group. At the age of 24, I started my first official building company where I went through two different business partners before realizing that I wanted to take on this industry in a different fashion. I was tired of facing the 80-hour work weeks, constant pressure, and no time for health, balance, or family. I had to take a tough look in the mirror, and I realized that trying to scale a business without first scaling myself wasn't going to work, even though everything that I had been taught up to this point said otherwise. If you work harder, you're going to get more. And I promise you that is just not the case. I began focusing on health, fitness, mindset, my relationships, and I put it all into the approach, and that is when my results exploded. Here is where the growth of momentum started to happen. From 2020 to 2023, I grew to eight figures in momentum, and I have never looked back. Here I am to help you do the same, hopefully even faster than I did. Once I learned that my business could only grow as fast as I did, everything else changed. So for this first episode, I want you to consider something and I want you to consider this for every single episode going forward. What does success really mean to you? I want you to think hard on it because it's different for every person. And I know I've been asked this for so many years and it is such a hard question to answer. But success to me is not about money. It's about mastery, mastery in every part of my life. And when I say mastery, it means absolute focus. It means being present where your feet are at. Mastery in parenting, mastery in relationships, mastery in just showing up. This is what success is about. Now, where does money come in? Because I just told you guys that this podcast is around doubling your income every single year. Money helps create mastery. Money helps create the opportunity to impact the people around me. This is why I want to double my income every single year. And this is why I want to help you double your income every single year. This allows us even more opportunity to double or more our impact every single year in our circle of relationships. The most successful people that I know, they train their minds and their body just like they train their teams. Success without structure elapses. And this is why you're here. Did you ever wonder why a ton of people become millionaires, but only some stay millionaires? Well, it's super simple. It's because they spend the money, right? But it's because there isn't structure around that spending. There isn't structure around where they put their money or how they use it to grow their life. And look, I'm going to deviate here a little bit, but some people believe that money makes you a bad person. I'm of the belief that money is a catalyst. It makes every person more of the person that they already are. Do you like to give? Money allows you to give more. Do you like to take? Money allows you to take more. Do you want to impact people? Money allows you to impact more people. And that's why I'm starting this podcast. That is why I'm here, because I want to impact more people. Now, back to the structure piece, though. This is where habits, schedules, and structure come into the mix. And these are all things that we're going to talk about with the blueprint of growing your life. This podcast will help give structures and blueprints of how to live life and a life well lived will help you grow your business. We of course will provide the operational blueprints that we talked about, the ways to lead people, the ways to do business better. But please don't forget, all of these assets can only grow as much as you are willing to grow. If you're ready to become the architect of your own life, then welcome to The Fold. Let's get designing.
